What Is A Draw Attack Monster Hunter
What's a draw attack? (Punishing Draw Skill)
I've read effectually and from what I've gathered; it's an attack from where your weapon was sheathed.
I accept a skill that adds a stun effect to my depict attack but I for the life of me cannot notice it. Yes, my skill is active. It's the punishing draw skill and simply desire to clarify what a draw attack is.
Cheers.

Attacking when your weapon is sheathed. Basically a direction + Y/Triangle when your weapon is put away.
With stun, you lot need to hit them on the head, too.

Does anyone know if mid-air attacks count as draw attacks if your weapon is sheathed when you bound, e.g. Dual Blade cartwheel attack?

yes, its the beginning attack y'all practice when you depict your weapon. The Stun damage is not mega to begin with, and unless you lot go on doing a draw assault over and over , volition probably not stun the enemy, especially if y'all are not focusing on the enemy their head. edit: Also information technology'due south only really good for GS, as you do hundreds of depict attacks with it and sheath it afterwards every true charge or earlier.

Yep, information technology's when you assault from having the weapon sheathed. I recall reading about greatsword builds from previous games that are centered on a high punishing draw skill - evidently information technology can be quite effective.

GS used Punishing Depict because basic GS tactic was Lv. Charged Slash -> ringlet -> sheath -> echo, then pretty much everything y'all did with GS was a draw attack

You're right about what a draw assault is, just you accept to hit a monster's caput multiple times with an attack that deals stun damage to KO the monster.

It had extremely niche apply in older games, pretty much only for greatsword in combination with crit draw, and even then only really great on a minor scattering of monsters like Teotra and Kirin. No idea if it will even have a use anymore, with the GS draw accuse nerfed and the new playstyle focused on tackles and truthful charges.
